Thank you for booking a workshop session with FISS. In order to complete your booking, please read the information below and please email [email protected] to let us know which of the two workshops you would like to book and the number of children who will be taking part. Also, please let us know if there is other information that would be helpful for us to know in regards to the workshop session or any particular needs of the children.
Option 1 - Prayer Workshop (For Year 3)
The Prayer Workshop is a 60 minute workshop, written by the FISS Team, that supports the teaching of 'Why do some people believe God exists?' and 'Why do people pray?' This workshop will require a classroom or a hall (please note we will require access to a smartboard or device to project resources); plus an additional space suitable for half a class. The Prayer Workshop is for children in Year 3 that can be run with a max class size of around 30 children.
Activities include time for reflection, challenges, media and discussion.
Option 2 - Good News Detectives (For Year 4)
Good News Detectives is a 2-hour workshop written by the FISS Team for children in Year 4. During this time the children will consider what Christians believe about Jesus from the Old Testament prophecies and from the gospels. This supports the learning of, 'Why is Jesus inspiring to some people?' This workshop can be run for up to 60 children and will require the use of a larger space such as a Hall and a projector.
Activities include drama, media, craft, challenges and discussion.
